East of Scotland Tennis run a number of leagues, tournaments and events throughout the year.  We aim to cater for all ages and standards and are always looking at ways to continue providing suitable competitions for all players.

July – August

Olium Financial Summer League

A great event for social players, the Olium Financial Summer League is open to mixed and level pairings and is made up of club teams with four players. Starting in July, matches are played either home or away on a Monday evening.

August – September

Olium Financial Inter-Club Singles

A knock-out draw for teams of three players, with separate events for ladies and men. Matches take place at participating clubs on a Monday and Tuesday evening.

 

Vets League

The Vets League is open to level doubles for men (from their 45th year) and ladies (from their 40th year) who compete in teams of four players in divisions of six teams. Divisions are formed on a promotion and relegation basis, and  matches are played on a Sunday morning either home or away. Clubs can enter up to two teams, but are welcome to enter more if they can facilitate more than one home game per week.

 

Supervets League

The Supervets League is open to mixed and level doubles pairings of men and ladies (from their 60th and 55th years respectively). Players compete in teams of four – two men and two ladies. Matches are usually played on Wednesday mornings, with some flexibility allowed by agreement.

September – February

Junior Winter League

The VMH Solicitors Junior Winter League is open to junior tennis players, from beginner to county level, aged up to 18 years. Players aged 11 and under play in a mixed league, and players aged 12 and over play in leagues specifically for boys and girls.

October – November

Winter League Cup

The Winter League Cup is a round-robin league for mixed and level doubles. Each team has four players consisting of two men and two ladies. Matches take place on a Sunday afternoon and are played either home or away. Group winners play in the semi-finals and then the finals depending on numbers.

 

The Pringle Cup

The Pringle Cup is a one-day mixed doubles event which is hosted by the winning club from the previous year. The date and format is decided by the host club. VMH Solicitors Ladies and Men Division 1 players are not permitted to enter.

 

The Robin Welsh

The Robin Welsh is a one-day level doubles event. The format is entirely dependent on numbers. Entry open to VMH Solicitors Ladies and Men Division 1 players only.
